Don Giovanni does not sleep soundly
How to recover from the first twenty minutes more dramatically precipitating the history of opera? Trying to keep the wheezing and mocking, brutal shade but routine daily violence, sexuality performed without orientation and exploited as an instrument of (self) destruction and power. Ie turning a story of nearly 230 years as Mozart’s Don Giovanni in the news today, in esibizionisticamente clips to be posted on a social youth in recitashow truer than true our daily hell. (…) There is nothing strange for Graham Vick and the company of young singers, plagiarized from his dark and mercurial vision as a funfair, comedy and cynically pulp lucidly: shamelessly hopeless but tragically mild as it can be the game of the day to live without limits, at any cost. (…) Does not sleep soundly but in three hours shows those (often) we are without even knowing it, and repeated that the work can be the kind most contemporary art, pedagogical and alive that we possess.
