VINCENZO DE VIVO
Vincenzo De Vivo was born in Salerno in 1957.
Since 1982, he had led and been an Advisor for some of the main European Music Institutions: he was Artistic Director at Teatro San Carlo, Naples (2012-2014), Teatro Comunale di Bologna (2002-2006), Teatro dell’Opera di Roma (1994-1997), Adjunto a Intendente at Palau de les Arts, Valencia (2006-2009), Artistic Advisor at Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa (2009-2010) and Teatro Comunale, Treviso (1989-1995).
He had been Artistic Director of Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini, Jesi, since it was founded in 2001 until 2005, and Scientific Advisor until 2011.
He had been Vocal-Symphonic Advisor for Orchestra RAI di Roma and Advisor for SDR (Süddeutscher Rundfunk, Stuttgart) for the Italian operatic productions at the Schwetzingen Festival, Member of Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte Artistic Direction in Montepulciano, and he was in the Board of Directors at Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Siena.
He is currently Artistic Director at Accademia d’Arte Lirica di Osimo.
He taught Music Management for the higher education course at Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, Rome, and he worked with Accademia di Arti e Mestieri del Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Scuola dell’Opera, Bologna, Accademia Paolo Grassi, Martina Franca.
He is Member of the Selection Panel of many international singing competitions.
He has been a libretto author for many contemporary operas : Michele Dall’Ongaro’s Bach Haus (2000), Fabrizio Festa’s Il vagabondo delle stelle (2014), Lorenzo Ferrero’s Lontano dagli occhi (1999) and Mozart a Recanati (2006), Lucio Gregoretti’s Gli errori di Amadé (2013), Sergio Rendine’s Passio et Resurrectio (2000), Marco Taralli’s Nûr (2012).
He took care of the Italian rythmic version of some of Bizet’s, Mozart’s, Offenbach’s, J. Strauss jr.’s, Strawinskij’s operas.
