VALERIA MORICONI ARCHIVISTIC ‘S FUND
Given by the Luciana and Adriana Olivieri cousins and taken stock with the contribution of the Rotary Club Of Jesi.

The centre, instituted from municipal meeting  of Jesi on November 30th, 2006 and entrusted in management to the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation, it is prepared in the contiguous premises to the theatre-study that Valeria Moriconi inaugurated on the 22 May of 2002 and that, after her death, was registered with her name on November 15th, 2005.

The centre, realized with the participation of the Popular Ancona Bank, is not simply an archive, nor even less a museum, an office, a deposit… It’s a space for the memory, the research, the design, a laboratory remaining to preserve and continue a big artistic and cultural inheritance and give life to new expressive forms.

The centre is developed in four spaces:
- Archivistic fund with direction, secretary and consultation
- customs and suits
- collection of books of theatre and with dedications
- expository space for temporary shows

The preparation of the centre, through a photography selection, pictures, portraits, sketches, posters, customs, set objects, documents, display, aims to offering a few signs of the personality of the artist, to make feel the visitor at Valeria home, not only remember, but also live new emotions.

"The Theatre is here! It’s there! And it’s very beautiful! It’s your, it’s ours, it’s of all the community! These are emotions which whoever enters in a place as this will be able to have it in continuation. I hope that this place becomes a centre, a site used by everybody, from young people as less young people. Love it because it is ours, it is yours".
