The Midem (January 22nd – 26th 2006) is an event with hundreds of stands and lounges; it ia a big window for actual and future musical tendencies, to meet new partners, create business opportunities, find new tendencies and activities, display and promote own products and catalogues to the world. Inside the Palais des Festivals there are specialized areas and services to made meet experts of Classic music, Jazz, Electronic and Urban music; there are conferences and seminars, live performances with international stars and emerging talents. At the 2006 Edition there were 9,313 participants; 4,637companies from 92 countries and 604 media from 39 countries (radio, press, Internet, TV): record companies, editors, distributors, producers, promoters, artists, of every king of musical genre ... and more.
In Cannes the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation presented itself on its vest of musical editor, with Spontini’s and Pergolesi’s works in its catalogue. It also promoted an innovative project for Vallesina’s Historical Theatres, whom formidable acoustic is fit for the recording of high quality recording products made by record companies, artists and international ensembles. Finally, all artistic activities realized by the Foundation itself were presented by a DVD and an elegant explicative brochure, made for the occasion. Between giant posters of the G.B. Pergolesi Theatre, with the images of the pit, of the boxes and of the historical curtain reproduced on three big display panels, visitors of the stand could look over operas, projects and activities promoted by this cultural institution born in Jesi on 2000.
